STORY

OUR

Born in France, Julien Besnard, worked at a number of renowned European hospitality destinations before bringing his expertise to the Australian dining scene in 2010 where he met his wife Romy.

After 5 successful years owning their own Sydney based cafe, they relocated to Braidwood in the Southern Tablelands to open and operate Mona Farm, a 124 acre estate offering luxury accommodation and destination weddings.

In October 2023 Romy and Julien moved to the Southern Highlands to open their own venture, Franquette Crêperie.

“We wanted to create a space where there is no pretence, just genuine connections and an atmosphere of familiarity and fun, where the food is delicious but the service experience takes centre stage, sans chi chi”.

If you stop by be sure to say Bonjour!
