The Role

As Sous Chef, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and overseeing the kitchen’s day-to-day operations. You’ll be a hands-on leader, ensuring the team delivers high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and efficient working environment. This is an exciting opportunity to step up, showcase your creativity, and help shape seasonal menus, special events, and monthly offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to health and safety standards.

  • Support the Head Chef with food preparation, inventory management, and staff training.

  • Lead by example, mentoring and upskilling junior kitchen staff, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive team training programs to ensure consistency, skill development, and adherence to our high standards.

  • Collaborate on new menu items and seasonal dishes while maintaining our authentic French theme.

  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and cost management, reducing waste and maximising efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • A skilled and experienced chef with a passion for French cuisine.

  • Crêperie experience is favourable but not essential – a willingness to learn the craft is a must.

  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and brings innovative ideas to the table.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to inspire and guide the team.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards in food preparation, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
